Keyano College

When you enter nursing, you'll join other professionals who value embracing caring relationships and providing safe, knowledgeable and ethical care. Combining knowledge from humanities and sciences, you'll study evidence-based nursing practices that enhance the promotion, protection, restoration and maintenance of health, and prevention of disease and injury.

Our Nursing instructors will enhance your education by acting as resources, role models and facilitators, while promoting a positive and respectful learning environment. At Keyano College, our faculty is committed to ensuring that nursing graduates are competent and accountable, and can look critically and creatively into the future of health care. Keyano College has been offering the University of Alberta (U of A) Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing Program for over a decade.

Graduates of the Keyano Program receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the U of A.

Upon graduation, students will be prepared to write the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination. Although this program is based on the curriculum of the University of Alberta Collaborative Baccalaureate Nursing program, it is unique in its emphasis on health promotion and wellness.

You will receive clinical nursing experience each term, in a variety of settings (including community and institutional experiences). In addition to working days, you may be required to work some evening, nights and weekend shifts in the clinical settings.
